What are you ready to unpack in your life?
The leaves are beginning to turn gorgeous shades of red, orange, and yellow and the shelves of every store are packed with pumpkin flavored goodness. Autumn is here and it’s a time for nature to transition from one season to another.
And just like the weather, it’s often a time of transition in your life. Sometimes you can meet that transition with ease and grace, yet other times it’s hard to just get out of bed in the morning. I’m here today to remind you that both are perfectly normal and okay. The point is to keep on moving forward. It’s time to rediscover your purpose, or perhaps it’s time to discover a new purpose.
Now I know what you might be thinking — “Jodie, that’s great and I have my pumpkin spiced latte ready to go, but how do I navigate yet another transition?”
It’s totally understandable to be overwhelmed and have some fear as to where you stand and where you are headed. What I want you to remember the most is that there is time for everything and that God has a plan so try not to get caught up in the fear as that only creates more problems. Faith is what will get you through this right along with your strength and your courage. Trust me, you and the Big Guy have this all under control.
There are some easy things you can do to get yourself through this transition and one of the most important and basic is to surround yourself with positive people. If you want to be inspired and uplifted then find people who will inspire and uplift. There are plenty of people out there who are ready to bring you down; move around them and move to those who will bring out your best.
It’s also really important to take care of yourself both physically and emotionally. It’s time to do some decluttering and this can mean relationships just as much as things.
What’s more, commit to your growth. It’s time to pack up all your baggage and look ahead to what’s in front of you. Don’t get weighed down by all you are carrying. Instead, on your journey, start to unpack and see all the potential inside you.
You never have to go through transition alone. If you need a hand you can always call me and, no matter what time of the day or night, you can always call on God. So tell me, what are you going to unpack?
