Change. Is it good or is it bad?
So many of us fear it something fierce. Yet, in reality, change doesn’t have to be something that is negative. Much like being strapped into a roller coaster, with all its ups and downs, stomach drops and more, change makes life the unexpected ride that that it is. Though we don’t always know when and where it will end, we stay on the track and enjoy every twist and turn.
But what about when it stops being fun?
This roller coaster can be very scary and very real in our everyday lives making us feel like we are not in control. Do you feel like you are on a roller coaster financially? Are loved ones passing away? Have you been diagnosed with a terminal illness? Did you lose a job? It may feel like you have no choice in the matter, but you know what? You always do. You can get off that roller coaster and make a change.
The key to looking at the fear of change in the eye is chunking it down. There’s so much we don’t know, but as we gather information, we can start to feel more and more in control again.
Step 1: Gather information. What else can be learned? Talk to people who have been through what you are going through.
Step 2: Journal. Writing can be very cathartic and while you write you see a vision of what you want, and this allows you to let go of what you are currently going through and grieve.
Step 3: Accept. Have faith in a higher power to get you through times that are tough.
Remember to take change one moment at a time and be grateful for every single blessing in your life. Pom poms in one hand and boxing gloves in the other, your perspective changes the outcome every single time. Let go of stress (meditation, yoga, essentials oils are great ways to combat stress) and be persistent about what you desire your outcome to be.
Remember that while the roller coaster can be fun, it’s not sustainable. Remember that you always have a choice and perhaps now is the time to get off the ride and make a real change in your life.
You don’t have to make the change alone, there are so many tools at your disposal like the steps I mention here, coaching with me or even experiencing the calming and beauty of essential oils.
